Time to pat myself on the back for a second …. I WENT SKIING IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS! Can you believe it?! I don’t know if you guys remember last year when I went skiing for the first time ever, and now I am essentially a pro! HAHA! Not really, but I can actually make it down the mountain without dying! When Twiddle first started planning the Somewhere On The Mountain shows Ryan casually mentioned to me that we were going to ski every day that we were there. I actually LOLed, but yes-ed him to death about it. Day 1 I was definitely super nervous because the mountains out in Colorado are WAY bigger than in Stowe (legit 8,000 feet taller!), but surprisingly I did really well! Plus, I had never skied with Ryan before and he was so encouraging and sweet! He kept waiting for me since I am a slowpoke, and when I fell and almost cried because I was scared to keep going he helped me up and went slow with me for the rest of the way. No joke, by Day 3 I was cruising down the mountain and even went in the woods once (it didn’t go well but it was definitely fun!). Day 3 was BY FAR my favorite day of skiing since we had a big crew - Kevin (Twiddle’s second favorite manager), Herm (Twiddle’s lighting director), and Brook (the drummer - I hope you know that by now!) all came out skiing and we got to head all the way up the mountain and do a couple of runs together. I even went on a blue (totally by accident) which made me feel like I had come such a long way in so little time. I’ll be the one to encourage you - PUSH YOURSELF! Don’t be scared no matter how scared you are because you probably won’t hit a tree like Sonny Bono! And if you do get scared, do what I did and just sing “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S” and throw yourself down the mountain! I promise it will be fun and you’ll want to go back the next day! Plus, you will ALWAYS REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE!
