Being sick is the WORST! I have been stuck on the couch, which has given me a ton of time to surf the internet (while I wait for my December Book Club book to arrive - GET YOURS HERE!). Here are FIVE THINGS that I found interesting this week. Feel free to share something you've discovered recently that you think I'd enjoy!

Even though it isn't TECHNICALLY winter yet, the temperatures up here in Vermont have been below freezing more often than not and we have a TON OF SNOW! I found this amazing article on Cosmopolitan that lists some of the best products to keep warm - I might have to buy this electric blanket for my car!

The nominees for the 2019 Golden Globe Awards have just been announced and I am so glad to see that A Star is Born got so many nominations. Not only are they up for Best Motion Picture, but Lady Gaga is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Bradley Cooper is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture and Best Director, and their hit song "Shallow" is nominated for Best Original Song! YAY!

When I was a young girl it was my dream to be a gymnast, so it broke my heart to read the headlines over the past year as hundreds of brave women came forward about the abuse they suffered under the care of Dr. Larry Nassar. Now the USAG has filed for bankruptcy. Read more in this article on Glamour.

I couldn't avoid the newest celebrity feud while scouring my favorite sites. Apparently Natalie Portman (MY FAVE!) threw some shade at Jessica Simpson for a bikini photo from 1999! Gotta love celeb drama!

Now that we have our own home equipped with a pretty big kitchen, I can't stop thinking about making cookies for the holidays! I found a ton of delicious recipes on Better Homes & Gardens that I can't wait to make - along with a few recipes that have been in my family for generations!
