A YEAR LATER: OUR CABO MINIMOON

It’s been a whole year since Ryan and I went on our “minimoon” and I just realized I never even told you all about it! Originally, we really wanted to go to Bali - and hopefully one day we will - but the Twiddle tour schedule didn’t really leave us enough time to travel across the world and back. My parents have our Aruba timeshare with RCI so we decided to check out their website and use some of their RCI points to head on a nice post-wedding vacation. Luckily, we found an AMAZING spot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on the list called Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf and Spa Resort. The resort was absolutely breathtaking, located on a secluded coastal bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. When we arrived they immediately upgraded us to a one bedroom suite with a kitchen, living room, patio with a jacuzzi and stunning views! Ryan says one of his favorite moments of the trip was walking into our suite and knowing that this was going to be our home for a week! We got settled in and headed to one of the resort's luxury restaurants, Tazuna. They had the most delicious sushi that we ended up going there a second time later on in the week!!!

Since we visited a resort that has time share options we decided to take the “time share tour” so that we could get an even bigger discount on our stay. We ended up getting a $300 credit to our bar and restaurant bill, which was such an added plus even though we had to work for it! We probably sat their for nearly two hours before Ryan lied and said he had diarrhea to get out of it. It was pretty hilarious! He even got a golf cart to come pick him up and rush him to our room! HAHA! In my opinion the tour really wasn’t that bad and at least we got to see all that the resort had to offer. Not only were there six or seven pools (some adult only and some family friendly), but one of the pools, the “Sky Pool,” was located high in the cliffs and boasted panoramic views of Cabo San Lucas and the Pacific Ocean. It definitely became our go to spot - lounging on the cabana beds, swimming in the infinity pool and enjoying the beautiful weather and views!

Over the next few days we explored Cabo, visiting some of the world’s finest restaurants, relaxing on the beach, and filling our days with fun activities like ATVing, jet skiing and visiting El Arco. We had dinner at El Farallon on the cliffs of The Resort at Pedregal, the best restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. The waves crashed below us while dined on the ocean-to-table menu featuring the daily bounty from local fishermen. We also stopped by The Office on the Beach, a fun palapa on the white sand of Médano Beach, that got it's name from a gringo viejo, a local character that "rented wind surf equipment on the beach and entertained his clients and friends in this same palapa, which was referred by him and others as “the office”." We had so much fun enjoying the food, live music, and antics of the staff. Let's just say we got a couple of shots poured in our mouths every ten minutes or so! One of the most memorable dining experiences was our time at Flora Farms, a 25 acre organic working farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. We loved the farm so much that we even looked into purchasing one of their luxury homes! I'm not kidding - we went back a second time for lunch and a tour and were REALLY close to signing on the dotted line! It would definitely be cool to go back to Cabo San Lucas every year and eventually take our children to the spot we first vacationed after getting married! ANYWAYS ... Here are some photos of my favorite memories from the trip!

I’m so glad that I found a partner in life that enjoys traveling as much as I do. It truly is a priceless experience to be able to see the world and create memories with someone you love. Where should we go next?

xoxo. Alexandra
