WEEKEND SHENANIGANS!

This weekend was absolutely insane for us! We got back from Canada late on Wednesday night and were supposed to head straight to Frendly Thursday. Unfortunately, we never made it because we both had the craziest day ever! The weekend of Frendly is always one of our favorites but this year it was extra special because Ryan’s little sister, Meghann, got married and Ryan played all of the music for the ceremony! We had to rehearse for the wedding all day Friday before heading to Frendly for Twiddle’s set. We made it in time to see Nahko and Medicine for the People which was SO GOOD and I even got to see a little impromptu acapella song from the ladies of Upstate Rubdown, Melanie Glenn, Mary Kenney, and Allison Olender - also known by their side project Not My Sister. I was so upset to have missed their other sets so that was such a treat for me - check out the @tourwifetourlife Instagram page for the video of their performance of the song "That Lucky Old Sun"! We also got to spend the night with my little sis Madison Pruitt and her boyfriend (I was also upset we were missing that set on Saturday). Even being at Frendly for 4-5 hours was just so perfect! It really is such a beautiful festival and I look forward to going every year.

When Saturday came and it was time for the wedding it was probably the HOTTEST I’ve ever been in my whole live. Luckily everything turned out even more beautiful than we could have all expected and went off without a hitch. (Well, there was one moment before the ceremony when it started to drizzle and Ryan’s sustain pedal stopped working but we fixed that with a large rock and some duct tape and you would’ve never noticed!!!!!). I wish I could share some photos - maybe once she gets them back from her photographer I will update you all to show you how beautiful it was!

By the time it was Sunday I really couldn’t imagine leaving my bed, but our good friend Brandon came knocking at the door around 1PM and convinced us to go out on a bit ride on Lake Champlain. We took the boat all the way to Westport, New York to watch psychotic people jump from cliffs that were way too high (for real I almost had a panic attack) and then went over to Essex, New York for some lunch at The Old Dock. It was such a nice way to relax and stay cool in this heat wave that we’re in!

Well, now wouldn’t you think that by Monday I would be EXHAUSTED! The tour life must’ve made me strong because we went out on a MAJOR adventure with our friends Josh, Aurora and their families - including all of the dogs. We canoed for about a half hour across Green River Reservoir to a remote camp site where we spent the day floating around, kayaking, canoeing and catching up. It kind of reminded me of our trip to Canada because there was barely anybody in sight. So peaceful and serene! We ended the evening at Pizza on Main in Morrisville which was so delicious, before heading home.

You would think that I would rest after all of this but Fourth of July celebrations will be happening for the whole week! Do you guys have anything good planned? I'm really excited for the week ahead so stay tuned for my next post! xoxo. Alexandra
